Major job fair coming to Greensburg next week

Greensburg — A major Job Fair will be held in Greensburg Thursday, April 25.

This event will take place from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. at the Greensburg City Hall Auditorium, 314 West Washington Street. The Economic Development Corporation (EDC) of Greensburg Decatur County, Greensburg-Decatur County Chamber of Commerce, Ivy Tech Community College, the Indiana Region 9 Workforce Board, and the Greensburg Daily News have partnered to host the event.

EDC Executive Director Marc Coplon said earlier this week, “This job fair will provide a great opportunity for employers and job seekers to discuss new job possibilities in face-to-face conversations.”               Expected employers include such companies as Honda, Hitachi Powdered Metals, Valeo, GECOM, One Solution Logistics, Indiana Assemblies, MainSource Bank, Old National Bank, Morning Breeze Retirement Community, Hickory Creek of Greensburg and staffing agencies from around the region.

More than 200 jobs will be available including machine operators, production associates, equipment maintenance technicians, engineers, supervisors, accountants, purchasing agents, bank tellers, CNA’s, Registered Nurse, LPN’s and more.

Exhibitor space is available on a first come, first served basis. There is no charge for direct employers or job seekers at this job fair. It is highly recommended that those seeking jobs bring a current resume and dress appropriately for interviews.

For further information about the Job Fair event, display space reservations, and/or partnering opportunities, please contact Natasha Kellerman at nkellerman@edcgdc.com or Marc Coplon at mcoplon@edcgdc.com or call 812-222-2520.
