Magic Act taking “mom-inations” for makeover

GREENSBURG – In honor of the upcoming Mother’s Day, The Magic Act Salon & Day Spa is giving away a free total makeover to one lucky mother (or grandmother).

The salon is currently accepting “mom-ination” forms. The winner must be a mother or grandmother and women can “mom-inate” themselves. There is no limit to the number of entries one can submit, as long as all nominees are mothers.

Entry forms, which ask for basic contact information and a few quick questions about what makes each nominee special are available at the Magic Act salon or on the salon’s Facebook page. Those completing nominations can either download and print the form and take it to the salon, or message the Facebook page with the answers for the form. Anyone submitting forms must include a picture of the nominee.

Tennile Kroger, stylist at the Magic Act, told the Daily News this is the first time for this event, but she believes it will be continued in the future. Spring seems to be a perfect time to embrace change and new beginnings, all of which correspond nicely with a total makeover.

“We’ve had several people nominated so far and everyone seems to be excited about it,” Kroger said.

Nomination forms must be turned in by May 7 to be considered. The forms will be looked over and a winner will be chosen and notified on May 9. The winning “mom-inee” must be willing to relinquish total control to the talented stylists at the Magic Act. The winner must also agree to have their name, photo and basic information posted on the Magic Act Facebook page. No secure information will be used.

The salon is also holding a raffle for a gift basket valued at $250. The basket is filled with various full-sized TIGI products and a Mini Pro Flat Iron. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. Proceeds will go towards the Mom Makeover, enabling the lucky winner to potentially receive more pampering.

The Magic Act is located at 1025 North Neil Solgere Way in Greensburg and can be reached at 812-663-5211 for questions about the Mom Makeover.
