GREENSBURG — A Greensburg man critically injured in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Highway 46 and State Road 3 near the Fairgrounds, has died.
According to Decatur County Sheriff Greg Allen, Scott Milburn, 24, passed away sometime Wednesday evening or Thursday morning due to injuries sustained when a semi-truck driven by Catherine Gamas, 49, of Clarksville, collided with his 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix.
According to witness accounts, Milburn turned left from the eastbound lanes of Highway 46 across the westbound lanes of Highway 46. Gamas reportedly had the green light and didn’t have sufficient time to brake.
Decatur County EMS attempted to stabilize Milburn on scene before rushing him to Decatur County Memorial Hospital, where he was immediately airlifted to St. Vincent’s, Indianapolis. Milburn was on life support there when he died.
According to reports, Milburn was on his way to work when the accident occurred. He leaves behind a wife, a young child and another baby due in July.
