State Representative Pond resigning
Indiana House Representative Phyllis Pond (R-85) has announced her resignation.
She has represented her northeast Indiana district since 1978.
Pond says a diagnosis of pulmonary fibrosis is leading her to leave office in September.
Pence names airport board president
Governor Mike Pence has appointed Hobart-based Luke Oil Co. President Tom Collins head of the Gary/Chicago International Airport Board. Gary Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson has named four board members as well.
Lilly adds to board of directors
Eli Lilly and Co.’s (NYSE: LLY) board has elected Marschall Runge as a new member. He is the executive dean for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s school of medicine.
Angie’s List to be honored
Angie’s List Inc. (Nasdaq: ANGI) will be recognized later this year for its on-site daycare program. The consumer review company will receive the Terri Lynne Lokoff Child Care Foundation Corporate Leadership Award this November.
