Free preschool program beginning soon at Methodist Church

GREENSBURG – The free preschool classes will again be offered at the Greensburg United Methodist Church.

The first enrollment session will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11. These classes are for children who will be attending kindergarten in the fall of 2014 or the fall of 2015.

The free preschool program is directed by Jere’ Sturges, a retired elementary preschool teacher. The goal is to offer a readiness program for children who will be entering kindergarten the next two years, and the program is for children who are not presently enrolled in any other preschool. The class also offers suggestions for home activities and guidelines for the parents to help them prepare their child for kindergarten.

The classes are held on the second floor of the church in the children’s department. Signs on the west door from the parking lot will direct you to the room. Registration will take place at the first session. Advance registration is not necessary. If you have any questions, please call Jere’ Sturges at 663-3094.
