The Greensburg girls golf team lost to East Central at Grand Oak Golf Club Monday, 206-215.
“This was the first time all but one of the girls has seen the course,” commented Coach Terry Alverson.
“You really can’t appreciate how tough and hilly the course is until you play it at least one time. I thought the ball striking was good, but we lost too many strokes chipping and putting.”
East Central’s fourth golfer, Paige Napier, put together a solid round of 45 to take medalist honors.
Scoring for Greensburg was Britney Biltz with a 49. Senior Tori Giddings carded a 54. Nicole Ploeger, Kaitlyn Wickens, and Autumn Moster shot 58’s, Payten Ewing and Bri Stagge 62’s, Cheyenne Dunn 64 and Brittany Lozier 66.
Greensburg hosts a tough Connersville team at home tonight.
