The National Weather Service Weather Forecast Office called for a winter weather advisory for snow and blowing snow overnight Friday into this morning. Wind chills of 15 below to near 25 below were expected at times through this morning. Accumulating snow of 2 to 3 inches is expected.
Hazards: Very cold wind chills and temperatures. Snow expected overnight Friday and early Saturday will result in slippery and snow covered roads and surfaces.
Saturday through Thursday
Snow will end Saturday morning, but there is a chance of more snow again Sunday and Sunday night. Very cold temperatures will once again occur after the weekend.
A large and strong upper trough will continue over the Eastern U.S. while a series of upper disturbances and cold front move southeast into our region. One will affect the area Sunday and Sunday night...followed by another surge of very cold air.
