---- — GREENSBURG – An accident at the intersection of Highway 421 and Moscow Road involving a motorcycle and a car caused an interruption of traffic on both roads around 5 p.m. Friday afternoon.

According to Greensburg Police Officer Mike McNealy who spoke with the Daily News at the scene, an as-yet unidentified Greensburg man was traveling northbound on Highway 421 on a Harley Davidson motorcycle when he collided with the front driver’s side of a Ford Taurus driven by another Greensburg man turning onto the highway from Moscow Road.

No injuries were reported from the occupants of the car, but the driver of the motorcycle suffered unspecified injuries in the collision. EMS workers transported him to Decatur County Memorial Hospital and he was airlifted to Indianapolis shortly after for medical treatment, according to McNealy.

More information about the drivers and their conditions was not immediately available as family members of those involved had not been notified as of press time Friday evening. Further details regarding this accident will appear in an upcoming edition of the Daily News.
