Charger spikers win fifth straight, in four

The North Decatur varsity volleyball team tallied another road win over a conference team, beating Morristown in four sets. The Lady Chargers beat the Lady Yellow Jackets 25-22, 23-25, 22-23, 25-12.

Head coach Cathy Fogle said North lost focus after winning the first set, but showed mental toughness by turning around the momentum in the third. The Lady Chargers overcame a 13-3 deficit on the strength of six straight points served by senior Erin Hoeing.

“Everyone refocused on winning the set,” said Fogle. “I was really proud of how they regrouped and fought for the win.”

North improves to 7-5 on the season, winning its past five matches.
