City to oark opening of $8 million project

Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard and other community leaders will cut the ribbon Wednesday on an $8.2 million mixed-use project. The Point on Fall Creek is at the site of the former Keystone Towers site, which was imploded in 2011.

Indiana RV Company Hits Milestone

Middlebury-based Grand Design Recreational Vehicle Co. has produced and shipped more than 1,000 fifth wheels. The manufacturer began operations one year ago.

Association touts permit Increase

The number of single-family building permits in Central Indiana is on the rise again. The Builders Association of Greater Indianapolis is reporting an increase for the 15th consecutive month, compared to the previous year. BAGI says more than 3,900 permits have been issued so far this year.

There were nearly 3,200 during the same period in 2012.

Statewide CDC Touts $17 Million in Loans

The Indiana Statewide Certified Development Corp. says it funded more than $17 million in Small Business Association loans to Indiana companies in fiscal year 2013. The organization says the loans are expected to create or maintain more than 275 jobs in the state.

AT&T Extends Mobile Internet Service

AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) has increased mobile internet coverage in southern Indiana. Communities receiving the service include French Lick, Shoals and Salem.

Purdue Partners With Indy Company

Purdue University says a new partnership is designed to make higher education more mobile and social. The deal calls on Indianapolis-based CourseNetworking LLC to incorporate social aspects in Purdue’s mobile classroom apps.
