---- — Pirate tennis trio bows out at State

The trio of Greensburg boys tennis players bowed out of the IHSAA State Boys Tennis Tournament Friday afternoon.

Senior Collin Rigney at first singles won the first set of his State Quarterfinals match, but Yorktown’s Ian Landwehr (27-0) beat Rigney (25-1), 4-6, 6-4, 6-2.

In first doubles action in the State Quarterfinals, Angola’s Markus Arnold and Craig Nofziger (27-1) defeated seniors Kyle Colson and Tom Lawrence (21-6), 5-7, 6-2, 6-2.

Open gym at GCHS fieldhouse

The Decatur County Parks and Recreation Department is offering open gym at the GCHS Fieldhouse on Sundays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Take advantage of this opportunity to play basketball, volleyball or walk on the indoor track. This is being offered free of charge by the Parks and Recreation Department.
