Eva L. Chambers, 91, of Greensburg passed away on Monday, March 24 at Decatur County Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Decatur County on June 28, 1916 to Russell Bostic and Nanna M. (Burton) Bostic and was a lifetime area resident. She was married to Roscoe chambers on May 2, 1936 and he preceded her in death.
She spent her life as a homemaker and a custom house worker and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents as well as her son, Walter Chambers and a brother and sister.
She is survived by her son, John R. Chambers of Shelbyville, her daughter, Emma Mae Van Arsdall of Seymour, her brother, Harry F. Bostic of Adams, and her sister, Catha P. Harber of Westport as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, March 27 from 3 - 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Glenn E. George Funeral Home in St. Paul at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 28 with Rev. Jamalyn Williamson officiating. Internment will be in Adams Cemetery.
