Donald Lee Wilhoit, 79, of Greensburg passed away Saturday May 3, 2008 at the Hospice Inpatient Care Facility in Columbus, IN. He was born on July 29, 1928 in Decatur County the son of George J. and Josephine (Vernon) Wilhoit. On September 23, 1949 he married Ruth O. Barnard in Greensburg, IN. He was a member of the Greensburg Wesleyan Church and was a Supervisor at Delta Faucet until his retirement in 1989. He was an avid Gardner, Fisherman and enjoyed taking Photographs.
Survivors include: wife- Mrs. Ruth Wilhoit of Greensburg, One Daughter: Mrs. Donald (Donna) Niehoff of Batesville, IN, and 3 grandchildren: Benjamin L. (Heather) Niehoff of Bloomington, IN., Angela R. (Devon) Delvecchio of Oxford, OH., & Carrie L. (Matthew) Sander of Chicago, IL. Eight Great Grandchildren: Alexandria & Austin Niehoff; Sydney Clark; Rian, Kieran, & Finley Delvecchio; Josephine & Liam Sander. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home Monday, May 5, 2008 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at the Greensburg Wesleyan Church, 714 West Main Street, Greensburg, IN at 10:00 AM with visitation available from 9:00AM until the time of service. Pastor Doug Preston will be officiating. Burial will follow at the South Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Greensburg Wesleyan Church or to the Southeastern Indiana Hospice.
