Jerry “Pat” Moore, 72 of St. Paul, passed away July 15 at Decatur County Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Franklin County on Aug. 12, 1936 to parents Lowell Moore and Naomi Amos. They preceded him in death. Jerry “Pat” Moore was married to Marilyn Redelman Moore on Dec. 20, 1954. She survives.

Other survivors include: three daughters, Karen (Greg) Meyerrose of Greensburg, Kathleen (Terry) DellaRosa of Clearwater, Flo., and Melinda Glanton of Indianapolis; one brother, William R. Moore of California; four grandchildren, Brandi (Matt) Newton, Dustin (Erin) Meyerrose, Alan Meyerrose and Megan DellaRosa. He had two great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Dale and Tom Moore.

Moore worked as an electrician for Navistar for 25 years before retiring in 1998. He was a 1954 graduate of St. Paul High School, and a member of the Union Chapel United Methodist Church in Decatur County. He was a past president of the Kiwanis of St. Paul, past president of St. Paul Town Board, a volunteer firefighter for St. Paul and a member of the Sunset Palms Shuffle Board Association in Florida.

He was a veteran of the Air Force, where he served as an Airman 1st Class.

Visitation is scheduled for 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 18 at the Glenn E. George Funeral Home in St. Paul. Services will take place at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 19 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Union Chapel Cemetery, with Rev. Tammy Leak and Rev. Bill Leak officiating.

Memorials can be made to the American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, American Cancer Association or to the Union Chapel United Methodist Church care of the funeral home.

A graveside service will be provided by the Shelby County Veteran Association.
