William E. “Bill” White, 62 of St. Paul, Indiana passed away at 3:45 a.m. on July 21, 2008 at his residence.

He was born on March 21, 1946 in Indianapolis, Indiana, he was the son of Elbert Franklin White and Vesta Lucille (Lee) White. He married Laural Jayne Sears on September 24, 1965.

He had lived in the area for 32 years and had previously lived in Indianapolis. In his early years, he was an avid roller hockey player, playing for the Shelbyville Bruins. He also enjoyed bowling, golf, shooting pool and playing cards. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his pet cat Miss Boo. He was a production worker for Valeo Engine and Cooling in Greensburg for eight years and later worked as a machine operator for Richardson/Witeo in Indianapolis for 32 years. He retired from there in 1999. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Shelbyville, the Moose Lodge in Greensburg.

He is survived by his wife, Laural Jayne White of St. Paul; one son, William E. (Gloria) White, Jr. of St. Paul; three daughters, Elizabeth J. (Kevin) Davis of St. Paul, Stephanie L. White of St. Paul, Michelle Fuss of St. Paul; one sister, Sharon White of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren, Ron Byers, Cynthia Davis, Norman E. Saylor, Andrea Davis, Laural Saylor, Robert Saylor, William Saylor and John Saylor; three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Patricia Johnson and one brother, George White.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23 at the Glenn E. George Funeral Home in St. Paul. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 24 at the funeral home with Rev. Keith Dover. Burial will be in the Star Cemetery in Decatur County.

Memorials may be made to the Hospice of South Central Indiana in care of the funeral home.
