Martha Jo McCullough, 54, of Westport, passed away Monday, April 15, 2013 at Decatur County Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 30, 1958 in Indianapolis, the daughter of Arthur R. and Mary Catherine (Hull) McCullough.
She had been a Decatur County resident for most of her life. She graduated in 1976 from South Decatur High School and received her LPN license through a program at Bartholomew County Hospital.
She worked as an LPN at Oddfellows, Heritage House and Lincoln Village nursing homes, along with Decatur County Memorial Hospital.
Martha Jo was a member of the Union Flat Rock Baptist Church, the Order of Eastern Star – Lois Chapter # 147 in Greensburg and the Master Coblentz Karate Club.
Survivors include her father, Arthur R. McCullough of Westport; her daughters, Abbi Baker of Indianapolis and Angie (Lukasz Majewski) Baker who is stationed at Camp Humphrey, South Korea; her sisters, Marla Jane (Eugene) Glover of Lafayette, Monica Jill (Jeff) Morin of Maxwell and Maretta Jean (Rodger) Bushhorn of Westport; her brothers, Malvin (Cindy) McCullough of Butlerville and Myron J. (Gracie) McCullough of Westport; and her grandchildren, Ernest, Nick and Gabby.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Catherine McCullough.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday April 20, at Union Flat Rock Church, Pastor Malvin McCullough officiating.
Burial will follow at Union Flat Rock Cemetery. Friends and family may call Friday, April 19, from 4 until 8 p.m. at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the American Diabetes Association or the American Stroke Association.
