Max Low, 73, of Hartsville, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014 at his residence.
He was born Feb. 24, 1940 in Westport, the son of Morris Henry and Georgia Ann (Palmer) Low.
He had been a Hartsville area resident for the past 40 years. Max (Grandpa Mac) was a beloved husband, dad, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a true family man and loved spending every moment with his children and grandchildren.
Max made a tremendous impact on every life he came into contact with, especially his grandchildren. He meant the world to his family and will live on in their hearts and memories forever. We love you, Grandpa Mac. Thank you!
Max married Sharon Kay Mozingo Dec. 17, 1960 in North Vernon, and she survives, along with his sons, Mike (Barbara) Low of Flatrock and Jeff (Bobbi) Low of Hartsville; his daughter Tammy (Rob) Frownfelter of Hartsville; his grandchildren, Rick, Josh, Colten, Chelsea, Darrian, Seth and Olivia; his great granddaughter, Harley Jo; his two brothers and his four sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Greg Low.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home, Rev. Charles Cole officiating.
Burial will be at Union Baptist Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
