Vivian L. Klene, 95, Greensburg, passed away Friday, March 15, 2013 at her home.
Born Nov. 1, 1917 in Greensburg, she was the daughter of Waldo and Ida Mae (Maple) Littell.
She had worked at the Carol Cook Dress Factory for several years, and then she worked at Crown Zellerbach until her retirement. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Vivian was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army Service Unit Surgeon General’s office.
She married Daniel A. Klene Nov. 28, 1946, and he preceded her in death Dec. 12, 1984.
She is survived by her two daughters, Angela (Robert Michael) Downey, Indianapolis, Sue (Larry) Kitchin, Columbus; four grandchildren, Zachary Downey, Carmel, Scott (Jessi) Downey, Fishers, Todd (Brandi) Ruble, Greensburg, Dana (Greg) Phillips, Greensburg; eight great-grandchildren: Alexandria Ruble, Brady Ruble, Kalen Grubb, Logan Phillips, Parker Phillips, Cooper Downey, Nora Downey, Zeke Downey.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; one brother, Ralph Littell; three sisters, Viola Fuller, Lillian Hull, Lilas Ryon.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. A public rosary service will begin at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Funeral Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 20 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg, Rev. John Meyer officiating.
Interment with military graveside services will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, the Diabetes Association or to the Disabled American Veterans.
