Thomas Richard Peetz, 65 of Batesville, passed away Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, at his home.
He was born Jan. 4, 1948 in Batesville, the son of Milton Richard Peetz and Ethel Crowell Peetz Brunner.
He was also raised by his stepfather, the late Charles Brunner Jr .
He married Patricia Ann Borgman Dec. 4, 1971, and she survives at home. Tom was a past member of St. Maurice Catholic Church in Napoleon, and had also attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greensburg.
Thomas was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam.
He was an employee of Delta Faucet Greensburg for 37 years, working from 1972-2009.
He had also worked at GE in Batesville and Baylor Trucking of Milan.
He was a past 10-year volunteer fireman for the Letts Fire Department
Favorite hobbies were gardening & handyman.
Tom loved his family dearly, and especially enjoyed his two grandchildren, Abe and Aaron Peetz. He loved all children.
Tom is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Borgman Peetz; sons, Richard Peetz of Greensburg and Steve Peetz of Westport; daughter Claire Peetz of Batesville; brothers James Milt (Ona) Peetz of Napoleon, and John “Pink” Peetz of Napoleon; sisters Susan (Rocky) White of Greensburg, Charlotte (Boyd) Vanover of Batesville and his two grandchildren, Abe and Aaron Peetz.
Tom was preceded in death by four brothers: Jerry & Bob Peetz, Baby Charles Ronald, Danny Brunner, and one sister, Debra Sloan.
Visitation was from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 13, at Neal’s Funeral Home, Osgood.
Funeral services begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 14, at St. Maurice Catholic Church, Napoleon.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Military graveside services will be conducted by Keen Henneke of the VFW of Napoleon and the Osgood American Legion.
Memorials to the St. Maurice Church Bulding Fund, Cemetery Fund or American Cancer Society.
