---- — Marguerite L. Bridges, 91, Greensburg, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014 at Morning Breeze in Greensburg.
Born May 12, 1923 in Jennings County, she was the daughter of Otis O. and Mary I. (Wheeldon) Moore.
She was a 1941 graduate of Greensburg High School. She received the Girls Athletic Association award while in high school.
She retired from the Greensburg Junior High School cafeteria. She was a member of First Christian Church and the Shiloh Rebekah Lodge # 560.
She married Charles C. Bridges May 3, 1945 in Greensburg, and he preceded her in death Feb. 12, 1989.
She is survived by three daughters, Linda S. Campbell, Gosport, Carolyn Bridges, Seymour, Mary L. (Bobby) Fortner, Greensburg; two sisters, June (Fred) Swegman, Greensburg, Jo Ann Kress, Greensburg; three grandchildren, Alan (Sheri) Campbell, Greensburg, Brian (Shasta) Campbell, Rogers, Ark., Valerie (Shawn) Land, Greensburg; three great-grandsons and three great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; three brothers, Dale Moore, Herbert Moore, Charles Moore; two sisters, Helen Garrett, Alta Mae Hartzell.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at the funeral home, Rev. Danny Wolford officiating.
Interment will be in South Park Cemetery in Greensburg.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
