Mildred A. Mauer, 93, of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, April 5, 2013, at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis.
Born Nov. 15, 1919 in St. Maurice, she was the daughter of Anthony and Elizabeth (Berkemeier) Mauer.
She graduated from Arsenal Tech High School, and attended the Little Flower Catholic Church in Indianapolis. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse. Mildred retired after 37 and a half years from Indiana Bell in Indianapolis. She never married.
She is survived by several nephews: Eugene, Gary, John, Marvin, and Vincent Grote, Donald and Kenneth Mauer, Ralph, Bob, and Bill Kramer; two nieces, Marilyn Huseland and Joan Fischer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Joseph and Norbert Mauer; three sisters, Hilda M. Grote, Pauline Muckerheide and Christine Kramer.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.
Funeral Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg, Rev. John Meyer officiating.
Interment will be in St. Maurice Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Mary’s Church Building Fund.
