---- — Charla Minor, 63, passed away March 11, 2014.
She was a resident of Indianapolis.
She was born July 18, 1950 in Greensburg, to the late John Charles and Thelma Louise (Conover) Newlon.
Charla was employed by Tacs and Accounting and formerly by First Federal Bank in Greensburg for many years. She was a member of Church 52. She enjoyed scrapbooking, sewing and quilting. Charla was involved in the Emmaus Walk through the United Methodist Church in Greensburg.
She is survived by her husband, Ken Minor; children, Stephanie K. Herbert Redmon and Christopher T. (Kristi) Herbert; step-daughter Misty D. (RJ) Cope; grandchildren, Haley R. Cole, Levi S. Bruner and Bryce C., Blake T. and Olivia K. Herbert; step-grandchildren, William C. and Adam C. Cope.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 14, at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, which is located at 481 West Main Street in Greenwood. The funeral will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 15, at the funeral home. Charla will be laid to rest at Crown Hill Cemetery.
The family request memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in Indianapolis.
