---- — Baltus Ausley Martin, 98, of Greensburg, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014 at his home. Ausley was born on June 21, 1915 in Grant County, Ky., the son of Hayden and Bessie Martin.
March 9, 1940, he married Kathryn Graham and they shared 63 years together until her death in 2004. Ausley worked for 38 years as a salesman at Charles Johnson Wholesale Company. He was a member of the Eagles, Masons, and the United Methodist Church of Letts.
Survivors include three daughters, Linda Maddux and Judy Holland of Las Vegas, Nev., and Shirley Trenkamp of Greensburg; seven grandchildren, Terri (John) Jackson, Michael (Lisa) Maddux, Greg (Kathy) Maddux, Pat (John) Jones, Jim (Lori) Biltz, Chris (Jamie) Holland and Shelley Holland; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; a grandson, Rick Holland; six brothers, Garrett, Alfred, Stanley, Narwall, Kirtley, and Marvin Martin; and a sister, Carmen Crandall.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, all at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home.
