Greensburg — Erma Counts, 60, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis.

Erma was born March 21, 1952 in Laurel, the daughter of Laura and George Tuggle. Erma married Carl Counts in Brookville Nov. 30, 1992 and he survives.

Erma truly enjoyed working and taking care of her patients at Decatur County Memorial Hospital as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Erma loved the outdoors, she enjoyed spending time in her garden, tending her flowers, taking walks, fishing and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband Carl; daughters, Laura “Miki” (David) Asche of Laurel, and Dedra (Gary) Landware of Versailles; son, Jamie Estes of Laurel; sisters, Helen Hardwick, Virginia Layton, Sandra Staup, Brenda Rechenbach, Darla Jones, and Barbara Clontz; brothers, Glenn, Gary, Robert, Gerald, and Dennis Tuggle; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Talena Counts; one sister, Alice Williams, and one infant brother.

There will be a visitation for family and friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26 at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home.

Erma’s funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, also at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Stipp’s Hill Cemetery in Buena Vista (Laurel).
