Christopher E. Daeger, 50, of North Vernon, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2014. Born July 27, 1963, he was the son of Phillip and Rosie (Firsich) Daeger.
He graduated from Jennings County High School in 1981. He worked as a salesman for North Vernon Beverage Company for 26 years. He was a member of St. Anna’s Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Eagles and Moose Lodge.
Chris loved watching his son, Kevin, play baseball. He was a Cincinnati Reds and Bengals fan and loved playing cards with family and friends.
He is survived by his parents, Phillip and Rosie Daeger; two sons, Jarrod and Kevin Daeger; brother, Brian Daeger; and sister, Laurie Blackburn.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, at Sawyer Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service in North Vernon. A Rosary Service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 10, at St. Anna’s Catholic Church, with Rev. Jerry Byrd officiating. Interment will follow at St. Anna’s Cemetery.
