Fred McLean, 93, Greensburg, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Aspen Place in Greensburg.
Born Sept. 1, 1920 in Indianapolis, he was the son of Clyde F. and Bertha M. (Beach) McLean.
Fred operated Universal Manufacturing in Indianapolis for more than 40 years. He was a a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Murat Shrine, and he also attended Springhill Presbyterian Church.
He married Phyllis Behr Nov. 28, 1943, and she preceded him in death July 8, 2005.
He is survived by one son, Dan McLean, Greensburg; one daughter, Terry Lee Brown, St. Petersburg, Fla.; one brother, Douglas D. McLean, Zephyr Hills, Fla.; one sister, Marjorie Ann Ebel, Bradenton, Fla.; one grandson and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Memorial services begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg, Margaret Lowe officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Murat Shrine, Shriners Hospital Cincinnati Burn Unit, or Our Hospice of Southeastern Indiana.
