Greensburg — Hugh Clark Coy, 87, of Greensburg, passed away Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at Decatur County Memorial Hospital, Greensburg.

He was born May 10, 1925, in Greensburg, the son of Leonard E. and Gertrude (Clark) Coy.

He graduated from Sandusky High School, 1943. He then served in the Army in World War II. He was a farmer and a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, Adams; he was also a former volunteer fireman.

He married Mary K. Holder Aug. 21, 1949, and she preceded him in death Feb. 27, 2008.

He’s survived by one daughter: Linda (Paul) Hardebeck, with grandchildren: Laura and Brian (Samantha), all of Batesville; two sons: Jim (Jeanie) Coy, with grandchildren, Paige and Abby, all of Greensburg, Brian (Debbie) Coy, with grandchildren: Brennan and Brayden, all of Greensburg; one sister: Martha Jean Cartier, Greensburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one sister: Letha Lorine DeLay.

Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home, Greensburg.

Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m., Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at the funeral home, with Rev. Keith Dover officiating.

Interment will at South Park Cemetery, with full military honors.

Memorials may be made to the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Building Fund.
