---- — Betty Ruth Lawless, 81, of St. Paul, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013., at her residence.
Born Sept. 26, 1932 in Decatur County, she was the daughter of Alvie and Juanita (Elliot) Hobbs.
She married Jim Lawless Sept. 20, 1978, and he survives.
Betty is also survived by three sons: Jimmy (Evelyn) England of Shelbyville, Dave (Lisa) England of Shelbyville, and Timmy England of Greensburg; seven daughters: Lynda (Alvin) Ruble of Laurel, Darnell (Jim) Bakes of Shelbyville, Wanda (John) Parker of Greensburg, Peggy (Richard) Vise of Greenfield, Tammie (Wes) Bowers of Lafayette, Brenda Boles of Indianapolis, Kaylyn (Roy) Brewer of St. Paul; 21 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Betty had lived in this area since 1993 and had worked at Knauf Fiberglass for 17 years. She had previously lived in Rush County.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Cathy Thurston, one brother and one sister.
Funeral services begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at Glenn E. George Funeral Home, St. Paul, Rev. David Humphrey officiating. Visitation is from 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday, also at the funeral home.
