Lily Rebecca Roden, 39, granddaughter of Virginia Arnold, Greensburg, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Silver Springs, Maryland, Thursday, June 12, 2014.
She is also survived by her parents, Emmett and Kathy Roden, Chevy Chase, Maryland; sister, Michelle (Andy) Grajales, Kensington, Maryland; niece, Sophia Grajales; nephew, Samuel Grajales; aunts, Ginny (Bob) Whipple, Greensburg, Martha (Gaylord) Inman, Atlantic City, New Jersey, Janet Simonet, Orlando, Florida, Ann Graza, Chicago, Illinois; and uncles, Joe Arnold, Cloverdale, and Samuel Lemaster, Sheffield, Alabama.
Lily was a graduate of Hampshire College and enjoyed her family, especially her niece and nephew. She was an accomplished artist, pianist and avid scholar of American war history.
A celebration of life will be held June 22, in Kensington, Maryland. Burial will be private.
