Lenora May Adams, 86, of Greensburg, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at Our Hospice in Columbus. She was born on July 15, 1927 in Bracken County, Kentucky, to Gilbert and Bertha (Routt) DeMoss.
She married Bennie G. Adams in Covington, Kentucky on May 10, 1946, and he preceded her in death on on December 30, 1988.
Lenora did not like to stay home and she was always on the go. She went to many places of interest. She enjoyed hunting mushroom and listening to gospel music. Most of all, she liked being with her family who will miss her very much.
Lenora is survived by her daughters, Carolyn (Phillip) Eagle, Judy (Paul) Kessens, and Kimberly (Bill) Collins; son, John (Vickie) Adams; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Wolford, Dell, Robert and Eldon DeMoss; and sisters, Hazel Biddle, Thelma Meyers, and Leona Hadler, her twin.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 20 at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville. Funeral Services will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 21, at the funeral home, with Mark Vice officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Methodist Church Cemetery in Salt Creek Township.
