Gary Gordon Stacy, age 64, of Metamora, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013 at Rush Memorial Hospital, Rushville.
He was born Dec. 23, 1948 to Gordon and Thelma (Reynolds) Stacy in Batesville.
He married Rita Hunter Aug. 4, 1967, and she survives.
Gary was probably best known for his services in heating and plumbing as the owner of Stacy’s Plumbing and Heating in Greensburg since 1977. He enjoyed his work, his family and especially his grandkids.
Besides his loving wife, Rita, Gary is survived by sons Gary Christopher Stacy (fiancé, Kim Ginn Buckles, and her children Nicole Benz, Meagan Benz, and Tylor Buckles) of St. Paul; and Chad Nathan Stacy (wife, Kathy Milbourn) of Laurel; grandsons: Logan and Lucas; and granddaughter Lauren; sisters: Judy Edwards and Carolyn Morgan, both of Metamora; and Shirley De Marco of Oldenburg; and several nieces, nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Feb. 19, at Cook Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville.
Funeral services will begin at noon, Reverend Ron McCulloch officiating. Burial will follow in Peppertown Cemetery.
