Colleen Rork, 84, of Edinburgh, passed away 4:35 p.m. on Sunday, April 28 at Columbus Regional Hospital.
She was born Sept. 6, 1928 in Anderson, the daughter of Richard Elmer and Florence Marie (Sturgis) Gwin. At the age of 6 she moved to Nebraska, Indiana and was raised by John and Blanche Gwin.
After her marriage she moved to Westport. She had graduated in 1947 from Zenas High School. She had been employed as secretary for the Columbus Scale Company for 20 years. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and bowling.
Her marriage to Donald Rork, Sr. wasn Oct. 5, 1947 in Westport, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 11, 1999.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Jane Rork of Fort Wayne; her sister-in-law, Betty (Mitchell) Combs of Cumming, Ga.; her step sisters, Reba (Ray) Sims of Waynesburg, Ky., Noval (Richard) Brunsman of Mc Comb, Ohio and Charlotte Koons of Richmond, her step brothers, Gary (Judy) Poe of Union City, Ca. and Arnold Poe of Clearwater, Ca.; her 12 grandchildren, her 19 great grandchildren, her four step great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, Anthony Richard Rork, Sr. and Donald Rork, Jr.; step sister, Maxine Jobe; step brother, Donald Keenan.
The funeral service will be conducted 10 a.m. on Friday, May 3 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Rev. Alan Rork officiating. Burial will follow in Rockcreek Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 2.
