Mary Ann Luken was reunited with her husband Bert April 9, 2013 in Heaven.
She was born May 20, 1928 the daughter of Gilbert and Christine (Stier) Eder.
She was a 1946 graduate of Greensburg High School. She then went to work at Johnson Wholesale, and later worked for Greensburg Community Schools as a teacher’s aid with special ed children and at the YMCA preschool.
She was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and was active with Special Olympics.
She met her true love, Bertrand Luken, and they were married June 10, 1950 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He preceded her in death Sept. 21, 2012.
Between her years of employment, she was a homemaker and raised her family.
Mary is survived by four sons, Mike (Kandee) Luken, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Jim (Patty) Luken, Greensburg, Bill (Carol) Luken, Indianapolis, Tom (Jan) Luken, Greensburg; one daughter, Linda (Dave) Reiger, Greensburg; one son-in-law, Mike McKee, Greensburg; two sisters, Margie Fisse and Jean (Robert) Scheidler, both of Greensburg. She also leaves behind 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy McKee.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home, Greensburg.
A public rosary service will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday.
Funeral services begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 13 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg, Rev. John Meyer officiating.
Interment will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the St. Mary’s Church Building Fund.
