Rollin M. “Cody” Dodds, 90, of Greensburg, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2013, at Morning Breeze in Greensburg.
He was born Aug. 8, 1922 in St. Paul, the son of Amos M. and Florence (Kanouse) Dodds.
He married Evelyn June (McDermott) Dodds Dec. 19, 1953, and she preceded him in death April 9, 2003.
A lifetime resident of St. Paul, Cody worked as a cost estimator for KCL Corp. for 42 years, retiring in 1990.
He was a 1940 graduate of St. Paul High School, and he was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and taught Sunday School.
A veteran of World War II, Cody served in the U.S. Navy from Nov. 1942 until Jan. 1946. He was a member of the Shelbyville American Legion Post # 70 for 58 years.
Cody is survived by a brother, Ed (Ginny) Dodds of Greensburg and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a brother, Kenneth Kanouse.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, at Glenn E. George Funeral Home, St. Paul.
Funeral services begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 11, at the funeral home, Rev. Keith Dover officiating.
Burial follows in Paul Hill Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Shelbyville American Legion Post # 70.
