---- — Jacquelin Hoy-Ewing, 66 of Greensburg, passed away Friday, August 16, 2013 at the Columbus Regional Hospital.
Jackie was born on December 10, 1946 in Greensburg, the daughter of Jessie and Jean Hoy.
Jackie was a 1965 graduate of Greensburg High School. On September 12, 1970 she married Charles W. “Bill” Ewing at the United Methodist Church in Greensburg and he survives.
Jackie worked at the Fifth Third Bank in Greensburg, starting as a teller working her way up to a Loan Officer. She retired from Fifth Third in 2009 after 32 years of service.
Jackie had many hobbies- she enjoyed painting, gardening, traveling, and basket making as well as collecting baskets and pottery. Jackie never missed a chance to Bowl for Kids’ Sake or walk in the Relay for Life. She especially loved spending time with her family and playing games with them like dominos.
Survivors include her husband Charles, her sister Jennifer (Clarence “Ed”) Blanton of Greensburg, her brother Jeffery (Susan) Hoy of Mt. Vernon, and several nieces, nephews and close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will begin Tuesday, August 20 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Her funeral service will begin Wednesday, August 21 at 10 a.m., also at the funeral home, with Rev. David Burnett officiating. Burial will follow at the South Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
