---- — Brandon D. Hempstead, 18, of Greensburg, passed away Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Ky.
Born Sept. 18, 1994 in Greensburg, he was the son of Treasa Hempstead.
He was a 2013 graduate of Greensburg High School, and he had been working for Fiesta Rides in Corydon.
He is survived by his mother, Treasa and friend Jennifer Siefert, Greensburg; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Wilmer, Greensburg; one sister, Allison Hempstead, Greensburg; aunts and uncles, Gary Hempstead, Greensburg, David and Nancy Payne, Ohio, Troy Blythe, Paoli, Jerry Dale Blythe, Paoli, Mike Hempstead, Greensburg, Mary Ann and Bill Fox, Columbus, Margaret Sherman, Greensburg, Tracy Hempstead, Greensburg; great aunts and uncles, Kenny and Sally Koors, Greensburg, Janet Cook, Greensburg, Bill Schoentrup, Alabama; several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Harry Hempstead; one aunt, Debbie Hempstead.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg.
Funeral services begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg, Rev. John Meyer officiating.
Interment will be held in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
