---- — Larry R. King, 66, of Roanoke, Ind., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was born June 18, 1947, in Hillsdale, Mich., to Marcie (Lowell) and Russ King.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Joanne, of 10 years. They were married in Indianapolis May 16, 2003. They enjoyed their retirement, watching football and spending time with their families.
Larry is lovingly remembered by his parents, sister: Cheryl (Jimmy); Papa; and twin brother: Jerry King; daughters: Teha (Chris) Cobler, Amber (Roger) Nobbe and Sara (Chad) Fuller; grandchildren: Camdyn, Cade, Marcie, Drew, Amanda and David; and several nieces and nephews.
Larry had several tours of duty in the Navy, including Vietnam. During his 35-plus years in Greensburg, he was a sales rep for Maly’s Beauty and Barber Supply, serving many local beauty shops. He enjoyed golf and was a member of Greensburg Country Club. He enjoyed local high school sporting events and attended dance recitals for his girls. Recently, he was pursuing his dream of becoming a pilot.
A celebration of his life will take place Sept. 14, 2013, from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m., at Gilliland Howe Funeral Home, Greensburg.
Memorials may be made to the American Stroke Association in lieu of flowers.
