Greensburg — Betty Jane Maddux, 82, of Greensburg, died Monday, August 26, 2013 at 10:55 a.m. at Harrison Terrace Nursing Home in Indianapolis. She was born December 7, 1930 in Anderson, the daughter of Arthur and Helen (Herndon) Vanderbur.
She had lived most of her life in Decatur County. She was a self-employed CPA. She was a member of the Midwest Scuba Diver Club of Indianapolis and Bells Chapel Church of God in Indianapolis. She enjoyed gardening and decorating.
Survivors include her daughters, Peggy Williamson, J. Denise (Hod) Scott-Harvey and Cheryl A. Liebke all of Indianapolis; her son, Bruce W. (Pamela) Maddux of Nashville; her sister, Lois (Norman) Weber of Greensburg; her brother John (Helen) Vanderbur of Greensburg; her 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter, Cheri Williamson, sister, Kay Laudick and brother, Jim Vanderbur.
The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Black, officiating. Burial will follow at the Westport Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from noon until time of service at 2 p.m.
