---- — Joseph M. MacCrae, 93, Greensburg, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013 at Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg.

Born April 25, 1920, in Gourock, Scotland, he was the son of Donald and Sara (Moore) MacCrae.

Joseph was a Veteran of World War II serving in the Army.

He had lived in Vero Beach, Fla., for several years before moving to Greensburg. He retired from Merck Pharmaceuticals in Vero Beach in 1986.

He was a member of the Community Church in Greensburg. He was also a member of the American Legion, the Masonic Lodge, and the Scottish Society of Florida. Joseph was very proud of his Scottish heritage.

He was married to Frankie T. Taylor on June 2, 2002, and she survives.

He is also survived by four nephews, Donald MacCrae, Douglas MacCrae, Scott Dempsey, and Lee Dempsey.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Archie MacCrae; and sister, Margaret Dempsey.

There will be no public services. Entombment will be held at a later date in Vero Beach, Fla.
