Wanda May Ruble, 80, of New Point, passed away Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013 at Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg.
The daughter of Cecil & Elva (Leonard) Pursley was born May 16, 1933 in Decatur County.
Wanda married Archie Ruble in Greensburg, June 30, 1951.
She was a homemaker and did a wonderful job taking care of their six children. Making sure her children were well educated was important to her, so homework and schooling always came first in their family.
Wanda loved to quilt. Over the years, she had made a quilt for each one of her children and grandchildren. The New Point Christian Church member also enjoyed reading and loved hummingbirds too.
In addition to her loving husband, Wanda will be missed by her four daughters Rebecca (Randy) Schebler, Stella (Ronald) Pyles, Sandra (Gary) Hamer and Nelrose (Michael) Price, along with her two sons Thomas (Mary Beth) Ruble and Ernest (Ann) Ruble, plus her 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and her sister, Marjorie Warren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Richard Pursley, June Marticke and John Pursley.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville.
Funeral services begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, also at the funeral home. Rev. David Johnston will officiate.
Burial follows in Rossburg Cemetery in New Point.
