Jane S. Schuler, 64

April 26, 1949 – October 18, 2013

Greensburg — Jane S. Schuler, 64, of Napoleon, died Friday, October 18, 2013, at the Waters of Batesville. Born April 26, 1949, she was the daughter of Frances (Vogelsang) and Paul Robinson. She married Robert Schuler July 14, 1990 at St. Maurice Church in Napoleon.

A member of St. Maurice Church, her faith was important to her. She was active with the National Right to Life, which she believed in strongly and started each morning by praying the rosary. Her family was her pride and joy and she loved being with her grandchildren.

A woman with many interests, her favorite hobby was going to yard sales, which was an every weekend event with her sister. She enjoyed flower gardening and bird watching, especially cardinals. Jane was an avid reader and also liked working crossword puzzles and word searches.

According to her family, she liked watching scary movies, but hated leprechauns and anything associated with them. Her family was also quick to point out that they survived her cooking, mentioning something about her gravy and wallpaper paste, although saying her saving grace was her potato salad.

Jane is survived by her husband, Bob; daughter Jodi (Vince) Young, of Batesville; sons Daniel (Misty) Palmer of Columbus, Roger (Shannon) Palmer of Osgood; sister Pam (Bob) Maloney of Greensburg; brother Samuel Robinson of Sunman; grandchildren Melinda, Megan, Makayla, Bradley, Kayden, Vianna, Nevaeh, Lana; great-grandchildren Maddison and Bryson. She was preceded in death by her parents.

There will be no visitation. A memorial service will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 26, at St. Maurice Church, with Rev. John Geis officiating. A luncheon will follow the funeral and a graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. at St. Pius Cemetery near Milan. Arrangements will be handled by Weigel Funeral Home of Batesville.

The family requests memorials be made to the National Right to Life Organization or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
