Greensburg — Tony Jacob Oesterling, 90, of Osgood passed away Thursday, May 16, 2013 at St. Andrew’s Health Care in Batesville.

He was born April 24, 1923 in Greensburg, the son of Ben and Mary (Berkemeier) Oesterling.

He married Betty Knose June 7, 1952.

Tony was a member of St. Maurice Catholic Church in Napoleon. He was a past employee of Stewart Farm Seeds of Greensburg, as well as Swinney Farm Implement of Versailles and had done work for Steve Wilson of Napoleon.

Tony worked in farming his entire life.

He is survived by his sons James (Doreen) Oesterling of Greensburg, and Mark (Angie) Oesterling of Moore’s Hill; his daughter Mary White of Osgood; his sister Thelma Bedel of Greensburg; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one son, Michael Oesterling, and two sisters, Alvina Moormann and Alma Menkhaus.

Services were Monday, May 20, at St. Maurice Catholic Church in Napoleon and burial followed at the church cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Maurice Catholic Church or Margaret Mary Hospice.
