Greensburg — Norma R. Ruble, 88, of Greensburg, died at 6:16 a.m. Monday, August 26, 2013 at her residence.
Born on November 8, 1924 in Jefferson County, Kentucky, the daughter of Georgia (Richardson) Arvin Padgett and Frank Arvin. She was raised in Clarksburg.
Norma was a member of the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Greensburg and enjoyed doing puzzles, reading her Bible and praying. She married Leland A. Ruble in Carrollton, Kentucky on November 27, 1940 and he preceded her in death on October 8, 2008.
Survivors include daughters, Norma June (Donald) Kirby of Indianapolis, Wanda Darlene (Herman) Harris of Greensburg, Karen Elaine (Floyd) Pence of Metamora, Sharon Marlene (Glenn) Horn of Columbus, Norita Kay (Harold) Powers of St. Paul, Lorene Ann (Donald) Foster of Indianapolis, Anita J. (Michael) Howard of Greensburg; sons Leland Phillip (Barbara) Ruble and David Allen Ruble both of Greensburg; 54 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Jeanette Sue Speer, sons, Donald Lynn Ruble, Orvel Wayne Ruble & Carl Lee Ruble.
The funeral will begin Friday, August 30, 2013 at 3 p.m. at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport with Rev. Forest Hamilton, officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held on Friday from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
