Michael D. Wolf, son, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend parted from Earth Dec. 21, 2012.
Mike was a devoted and proud firefighter for 22 years, retiring as a lieutenant, and he owned M&W Fire Service until he retired and moved to Florida.
Mike loved his family, pumpkin pie, double stuff Oreos and milk and fruity drinks.
Even as a kid, Mike was a little man and always tried to take care of everyone and everything. He worked hard and did what was right and fair and made sure those he loved knew how important they were to him. Mike had a rough last few years but now he is at peace and getting things in order in Heaven so the rest of us will have it easy when we get there.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Susie; his step-mom, Judy, and his grandparents.
He is survived by his children: Matthew, Megan and Christopher; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; his sisters: Debi, Kim, Teri, Lisa and Amy; and his brother, Chris. He has two uncles: Pat and Jim; a great aunt, Oasie; several cousins, nieces and nephews, and way too many friends to even count, let alone list.
Mike was known as “Bubby,” “Magoo,” and “Wolfie,” and he had many friends from all walks of life.
He is still loved and we will miss him terribly until we can see him again. Please come and join us for a trip down memory lane and a celebration of Mike’s life at 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26 at the
Knights of Columbus in Rushville.
You can rest now, Bubby. We’ll take it from here.
