William S. Faris, 73, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013 at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis.
William was born March 1, 1939 in Graymont, Ill. to Elmer Jacob and Dorothy Helen (Uebel) Faris.
William was a farmer and worked as a truck driver for GMI Trucking in Greensburg.
He married Pauline Romans Dec. 30, 1957, and she survives.
Other survivors include five sons: Tony Faris, Greensburg, Carl (Jody) Faris, Greensburg, Billy (Valerie) Faris, Connersville, Paul Faris, Greensburg, Jim (Julie) Faris, Greensburg; three daughters: Sue (Don) Dover, Hickory, N.C., Angie (Gary) Edwards, North Vernon, Misty (Tony) Wylie, Vale, N.C.; two brothers: Charles (Ruby) Faris, Hanover, Jerry Faris, Hanover; one sister, Carol Wettistein, Porter; 23 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kathy Grimes, and sister, Marge Oliver.
Visitation will be from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 3 at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, March 4 at the funeral home, Jack Oliver officiating.
Burial follows in Mt. Aerie Cemetery in Letts.
