Club Chatter

(Continued)

Next meeting will be the tour and lunch on April 15.

Kitchen Kookies Extension Homemakers

The Kitchen Kookies met at the home of Barbara Smiley March 12. For devotions, she read “Joy on the Way.”

Enjoying the sight of robins is a sure sign of spring.

The meeting opened with President Polly McCreary leading the club creed and pledge to the flag. The Thought of the Month, “May you be in heaven 30 minutes before the devil knows you’re dead,” was read by Susan Reasoner.

Secretary and Treasurer reports were given with all 10 members answering the question, “What food or drink do you associate with Ireland?” We then sang “When Irish Eyes are Smiling” and “Happy Birthday” to Susan.

Susan gave the health and safety presentation on the sub-clinical diverse thyroid. Cultural arts presentation was given by Alice Woodhull on why we should examine our love of foods. Could it be the smell or the taste we enjoy?

The committee for International Night has been very busy. They are working hard with the Twilighters and Maya from Mayarari Indonesian Grill.

Maya is looking forward to sharing her recent trip to Indonesia. The meeting will be at 6 p.m. April 7 at Greensburg First Baptist Church.

The meal is $10 and reservations should be turned in to Barbara Smiley, 891 South County Road 700 West, by March 27.

Polly gave the lesson, “Small Steps to Health and Wealth.” Helen Parker won the contest and lucky napkin prizes.

The meeting was closed with the singing of the club prayer.
