All of the members thanked Janet Hagerty for the great job she did with the book she put together of our Night Club history. Joan reported that the spring district meeting was to be held in Brown County March 13, and Janet B. planned to attend. There was an open house at the extension office March 25, and certificates of distinction were given.

On March 29, a sewing seminar took place in Rushville.

Joan reported about the Home & Family conference to be held at Purdue, June 11 to 13.

Election of officers was conducted with the vote to retain the current slate for another year. Catherine Mauer reported on health and safety. Good foods to fight cancer are the ones high in Vitamin C: tangerines, oranges, kiwi, papaya, mango, pineapple, star fruits, etc. Eating a healthy diet and regular exercise helps fight diseases.

Janet Bedel continued with her lesson on “Who Gets Grandma’s Yellow Pie Plate?” The best advice is for families to talk about items before someone dies. Also, may want to get identifier information placed on items. Janet Bedel won the mystery box. The meeting was closed with the club prayer. Janet Hagerty conducted a St. Patrick’s Day matching game with all receiving prizes. Joan served a delicious moist St Patrick’s Day cake.
