Chargers presented Honors Diplomas at annual banquet

Greensburg — On Friday, May 3, North Decatur High School honored 31 seniors for their hard work and dedication in obtaining the Indiana Academic Honors Diploma upon their graduation June 1.

These students and their parents were treated to a catered meal by The Rolling Pin Catering Service from Versailles, and each student was awarded a special plaque for this great accomplishment

This was the seventh consecutive year for this event and as in past years, the featured speaker has always been a North Decatur Alumni.

This year Dr. Mike Wilcox (Asst. Supt. of DCCS) filled this role and did a wonderful job of sharing a message related to remembering where you came from, working hard, and staying humble.

There were approximately 110 honored guests, administrators, faculty, and staff present for this event.

Special thanks goes out to several area businesses for their generous financial support in making this event possible. The following businesses and groups made financial donations:  Main Source Bank, First Federal Savings & Loan, Napoleon State Bank, Don Meyer Ford, and the North Decatur Adult Boosters.

Congratulations to each of the following North Decatur seniors:  Alexondra Acton, Hailey Ash, Nicholas Gehrich, Kayla Geis, Kevin Geis, John Hammersmith, Brandon Hocker, Kelsey Johnson, Jason Kirchhoff, Mitchell Knecht, Dylan Koors, Kaleb Kramer, Cynthia Krieger, Sean Lecher, Elizabeth Lewis, Jenna Meyer, Zachary Meyer, Charles Murray, Lindsay Nobbe, Michael Ostendorf, Eugene Petrie, Jacob Phillips, Kaitlynn Scheidler, Claire Smith, Kyra Spears, Katherine Stevens, Nicholas Stewart, Kiana Sweet, Hunter Wainscott, Jeffrey White, and Veronica Yager.
