Greensburg had its first test Friday night against Indian Creek and
generally passed its first exam.
The test, however, exposed some areas that must be improved
before they start hitting for real in front of a state-wide audience at
Lucas Oil Stadium Saturday.
“The defense played well but the offense struggled with penalties.
We couldn’t get any consistency. We’d move the ball, then we’d have
a penalty and have to reset.” said Coach Eric Schreiber. “We did score on a pass to Jeremy Dance from Chris Blankman.”
The defense generally played well giving up one touchdown to
Indian Creek. As would be expected form the Braves, the touchdown
came on a pass, and it was set up by a pass.
“They were able to hit one over the middle and then caught a
touchdown pass in the end zone on a blown coverage,” Schreiber
reported.
Offensively, the Braves ran about half the time but did not do well
