Published August 29, 2008 08:39 am - The Lady Chargers swept Franklin County at home Thursday night with the “C” team winning twice by 25-24 margins. The junior varsity won in two games 25-19 and 25-17 and the varsity completed the
sweep winning 25-10, 25-15, 18-25 and 25-12.

The Lady Chargers swept Franklin County at home Thursday night
with the “C” team winning twice by 25-24 margins. The junior varsity
won in two games 25-19 and 25-17 and the varsity completed the
sweep winning 25-10, 25-15, 18-25 and 25-12.
North Decatur had a powerful front line attack that the Lady Wildcats
could not match. The hitters converted on 72-of-79 attempts
including 38 kills. Sarah Wallpe led the group with 20-of-22 tries with
12 kills. Right behind here was Jill Hammersmith with 20-of-20
and nine kills
Danielle Trenkamp with 14-of-18 attempts and eight kills and Clair
Metz who hit 14-of-14 with kills. Stephanie Barber also had a kill.
Ann Schwering set 66-of-67 tries and had 28 assists.
Service was nearly as effective as the team served 81-of-91 tries
with seven aces. They were led by Courtney Schroder who served
16-of-17 with four aces. Metz served 24-of-25 and had an ace along
